BNA Blend
BNA BLEND (Buton Natural Asphalt) is a modified asphalt product resulting from Buton Asphalt mixture which is processed under Semi-Extraction method and Oil Asphalt in specific composition thus having the following benefits:

High Adhesiveness / Water Resistance
Water always brings negative impact on asphalted-road reinforcement. Water stripping will weaken asphalt-aggregate bond, which results in raveling, pot hole and structural weakening.
Boling Test (ASTM 3625) indicates that BNA Blend has high water stripping resistance, thus highly potential for improving the quality of road network.

High Stiffness Modulus
DSR (Dynamic Shear Rheometer) test shows that asphalt modulus (G*/Sin d) = 1kPa is reached at 72oC. This indicates that in PG Grading classification, BNA Blend may be categorized into Asphalt PG-70, two grades above Oil Asphalt Pen 60/70 in general. The confirmation of high modulus of BNA Blend is also proven by the result of wheel tracking test, which is far higher than Oil Asphalt.

High Softening Point
Softening Point of BNA Blend is 55oC, higher than Standard Asphalt; it may, therefore, be applied to resolve the problems in connection with high temperature, such as Bleeding, Rutting & Shouving.

Crack Resistance
The experimentation of BNA Blend Hot Mix spreading on the cracked road shows that neither Reflecting Cracking nor Pot Hole emerges after 3.5 years of operation.

Workable
BNA Blend application process as from mixture to compaction is as easy as Oil Asphalt application.*

Economic & Long Life
With such aforesaid benefits, BNA Blend becomes an economic product due to its higher damage resistance if compared with Oil Asphalt and other Buton Asphalts.

Liquid BNA Blend is distributed by using tanker in temperature ranging from 120°C to 140°C, at which the mixer continues to operate.
